anyways, regardless of who is sculpting, they are gonna base it off the movie, right?

I really hated the way they did the Balrog in the flick. one of the few things I didn't like.
I've been reading Tolien stuff for over 20 years. I take it more seriously than the Bible sometimes...

the Balrog in the movie looked like an ox cross-bred with something...
the Ral Partha version looks like a demon/devil, which is what I "saw" in my mind when I read the books. although it's only 2" tall... [img]wink.gif[/img]

Yes it'll be based off the movie version. Hey, at least it's better than the animated movie version, lol. Watched a few minutes of the animated movie tonight on Cartoon Network. That Balrog was barely taller than the Orcs, lol.

O loved the old anomated flick, although, yeah, Mr.Demon could have been a LOT bigger.

those are the closest versions to the characters I see in my mind when I read the books.

esp Strider/Aragorn.
